Final demolition works will take place tomorrow at Cockenzie Power Station in East Lothian, ScottishPower has announced.
The remaining section of the steel boiler house standing at 220 metres in height will be levelled at 2pm tomorrow, 17 December.
The works are being undertaken by demolition specialists Brown and Mason.
The event will mark the contractors thirteenth and final demolition at the site, which first began on 11 December 2013.
ScottishPower project manager George Camps, said: "Careful planning has ensured that the demolition work so far has been very successful, and we fully intend to carry out this final blowdown in the same manner.
"The project will continue at Cockenzie for at least the next 6 months, as we clear the materials from the site and remove the old office and other ancillary buildings."
Road closures will be in place during the demolition.
