The first phase of a project to install scenic artwork along a 'snow road' in the Cairngorms National Park (CNP) has been completed.
The pilot phase of the Scottish Scenic Routes Initiative is being funded by the Scottish Government.
The scheme aims to enhance visitors' experience of Scotland's landscape by creating viewpoints.
Work at the Corgarff site on Allargue Estate has seen four cowled metal seats, designed by competition-winning architect John Kennedy, installed alongside the existing 'spy stone'. In addition, a lay-by and parking area are also being refurbished.
Further viewpoints at Tomintoul Quarry and the Devil's Elbow at Glenshee are due to be completed in 2016.
