Councillors Agree Start Date For Remedial Works

Councillors have agreed a start date for remedial works on a primary school in East Dunbartonshire.

Tender documents are now being prepared for the Holy Family Primary School in Kirkintilloch as a result of the Structural Survey.

Works are scheduled to begin in April 2016.

Council Leader Rhondda Geekie said: "We have been engaging with the Holy family school community throughout the fact finding process that resulted in the full structural survey.

"We will ensure that there is a consistent standard of redecoration throughout the school during the works and we have also discussed improving drainage on parts of the site and exploring the possibility of disabled access."
