Work is due to begin on a £2.7 million refurbishment programme in Inverclyde.
A derelict section of Greenock's Municipal Buildings it to undergo redevelopment works on Monday, 07 December.
The former police office is due to be transformed into modern office accommodation.
The work is expected to take up to a year.
In addition, the council also plans to refurbish the former James Watt College.
Councillor Michael McCormick said: "This is a much-needed project that will restore a neglected part of the magnificent Municipal Buildings and provide new, modern office accommodation."
