Scotland's oldest working theatre has re-opened following a £2 million refurbishment programme.
Planning permission for the refurbishment at the Theatre Royal in Dumfries was received in 2013.
Works included extending the theatre into nearby buildings with a specialised rehearsal area and a developing a new foyer.
Bar, food and toilet facilities were also upgraded.
The Theatre Royal officially re-opened with a pantomime production of Beauty and the Beast yesterday, 02 December.
