The project will replace the bridge that carries the A862 road over the main Inverness to Dingwall railway line.
Works include development a new two span bridge across the railway, supporting abutments, pier and approach roads, all to the north of the existing crossing.

This will remove the existing single lane traffic signal restriction currently in place.
Other works include Service diversions, drainage works, traffic signals, improvement to junction layouts and traffic calming measures.
Once the works are all completed and the new crossing is in use, the existing bridge and its approaches will be removed.
Works are expected to last 18 months.
