New council houses are to be built at an estate in Livingston, West Lothian Council has announced.
Lovell Partnership will develop 45 properties at Deans South, while McTaggart Construction will build 46.
Originally, Lovell was to develop nine houses. However, this number increased following a decision by the council to withdraw a site at the Trim Track from the build programme.
Development on all the sites at Deans South will commence in 2016.
Councillor George Paul said: "We are delighted that this very positive chapter in the estate's history is nearly upon us.
"Affordable homes are in short supply across the country and the new homes at Deans South will play a very important part in our aim to deliver new, affordable homes for families and individuals."
In total, West Lothian Council is building 1,000 new council homes by 2017.
