Over £2m in support has been made available for four projects in Fife, it has been reported.
A sixth meeting of the Fife Taskforce was held in Glenrothes on 04 November.
It decided four local projects would receive £2.07m from the £6m set aside to support the Fife Taskforce's Action Plan.
One of the projects includes regenerating Queensway Industrial Estate to develop a modern business and technology park.
The Queensway Green Technology Park would utilise the proximity to RWE's Biomass Power Generation facility.
A total of £1.17m was granted.
Deputy First Minister John Swinney said: "The focus of the Taskforce is on action that continues to assist people, businesses and communities affected by job losses in central Fife.
"Supported by £6 million from the Scottish Government these initiatives will help deliver economic growth in the Glenrothes area and Central Fife."
