Aberdeenshire Council is to hold an open day showcasing a new £37m campus to the public.

The Alford Community Campus in Greystone Road was delivered by the council in partnership with Hub North Scotland.

Work on the new facilities was undertaken by Morrison Construction.

The campus will cater for all pupils across Alford Academy, Alford Primary and Nursery.

Facilities include a library, theatre, dance studio, four court sports halls, a gym, climbing wall and swimming pool.

Modern classrooms, learning zones and multi-purpose rooms were also developed.

Councillor Allison Evison said: "Local residents will be excited to see the new campus and find out more about the community activities on offer."

The open day is to take place on Saturday, 24 October between 10am and 4pm, with the campus officially opening on Thursday, 29 October.
