Dumfries and Galloway Council has delayed a progress report on remedial works to a leisure centre due to mediation talks with its contractors.
It is understood talks between the council and Kier Construction have pushed the meeting back to November.
Remedial works are yet to start at the multi-million DG One centre in Dumfries, with the facility closed one year ago this month.
Repairs expected to take 18 months to complete once they get underway.
In a statement, the local authority said: "It was intended that a meeting of Dumfries and Galloway Council on Monday 19 October 2015 would consider a report on DGOne.
"However, representatives of the Council and Keir Construction are currently involved in a mediation process.
"The meeting has, therefore, been postponed until November when there will be more information to report to elected members."
