A school in Inverclyde has reopened after undergoing a £6m refurbishment.
The project at Ardgowan Primary in Greenock included a new three-storey extension to accommodate a gymnasium, new teaching facilities and an assembly hall.
In addition, the playground contains a 120 sq m multi-use games area (MUGA), a growing garden, raised social space and a performing stage.
The scheme is the latest in the council's £270m investment to deliver new and upgraded schools across the region.
Education Vice Convener Martin Brennan performed the opening ceremony.
