Transport Scotland has announced traffic management will be implemented on the A9 Dualling project as work gets underway.
The A9 Dualling Programme will see approximately 80 miles of upgraded road being delivered between Perth and Inverness by 2025.
Work has already begun on the five-mile £35m section between Kincraig and Dalraddy and is being carried out by a joint venture of Wills Bros Civil Engineering and John Paul Construction.
Traffic management and a 40mph speed limit are to be rolled out on the A9 as work gets underway.
The restrictions will come into force from Monday, 21 September.
A Transport Scotland spokesperson said: "As part of the A9 Dualling works traffic management and a 40 mph speed limit is required to ensure that the works are carried out safety for the benefit of road users and the workforce."
