A £110,000 upgrade of the southbound M80 is underway, Scotland TranServ has announced.
The company is carrying out resurfacing and high friction renewal works from 14 to 18 September between junction 2 (Bishopbriggs) and junction 1 (Provan).
The work is being undertaken on behalf of Transport Scotland and will increase the longevity of the road.
During the works, the road between junction 2 and junction 1 will be closed.
The southbound onslip from junction 2 will also be closed between 8pm and 6am.
Diversions will are in place during works.
Gordon Wilson, Scotland TranServ's Contract Director, said: "This is an important programme of work as Scotland TranServ continues to improve the road surface of some of the countries busiest roads."
