Scotland TranServ has announced it will carry out the final phase of a £6m upgrade programme this week.
The work is the final installment in a series of schemes to upgrade the road surface at the A75 Dumfries Bypass.
Scotland Transerv, on behalf of Transport Scotland, will undertake the works during a weekend closure of the A75 from the A76 Glasgow Road roundabout to the A701 Edinburgh Road roundabout.
The closure is to take place from 7pm on 18 September until 6am on 21 September.
Scotland TranServ's contract director, Gordon Wilson said: "We will be delivering the final phase of this million pound project which will prolong the lifespan of Dumfries Bypass for years to come."
Diversions will be in place.
