Committee Urged To Approve £900,000 In Roof Renewals

Almost £900,000 could be invested by Dundee City Council in the renewal of council housing roofs.

The housing committee will be asked to approve the move at its meeting on 14 September.

The first phase of the work would include the renewal of roofs to 29 cottages and three tenement blocks at 2-18 Glenconner Drive, 28-83 Mossgiel Crescent, 23 Mossgiel Place and 88-112 Pitkerro Road, costing over £362,000.


Phase two of works would include the renewal of roofs to 44 cottages and three tenement blocks at 3-19 Alloway Terrace, 2-41 Mossgiel Crescent, 3-17 Pitkerro Drive and 64-78 Pitkerro Road.

These works would cost over £506,000.

Councillor Kevin Cordell said: "This is another example of the ongoing investment in our housing stock and the improvements we are making to properties to maintain our houses to the Scottish Housing Quality Standard."
