Public Exhibition To Be Held On Development Proposals

Moray Council has announced a public exhibition will be held on development proposals for a site in the region.

Councillors have approved a plan for the 112 hectare Findrassie site on the northern edge of Elgin.

The proposals will now go on display as part of a public consultation.

Staff from the council's planning and development section will attend, along with representatives of the landowners, Pitgaveny.

Plans for the site will be developed over the next 20 to 30 years and includes provision for approximately 1,500 new homes, a school, a range of community facilities, open spaces and land which will be developed for business.

The development will represent a 'major' northward expansion of the Elgin settlement boundary and will stretch from Duffus Road to the A941 Elgin-Lossiemouth road.

The proposals will be displayed on Monday, 14 September from 3pm to 8pm at Moray College's Alexander Graham Bell Centre in Elgin.
