SSE has appointed Kevin Greenhorn as Managing Director (MD) of its SSE Enterprise Energy Solutions business.

Mr Greenhorn has vast experience within his new role having held a variety of senior positions within SSE.

Most recently, he was Director of Relationship Management and Marketing.

Mr Greenhorn will lead a 300-strong team which specialises in the installation and maintenance of building energy management systems (BEMS).

The announcement coincides with the first anniversary of the acquisition of the Energy Solutions Group (ESG) by SSE's Enterprise division.

Jim McPhillimy, Managing Director of SSE Enterprise, said: "Kevin has proven himself to be a dynamic and forward-thinking business leader in a variety of senior management roles during his time with SSE and I'm confident that Energy Solutions can achieve great things under his leadership."

Speaking on his appointment, Mr Greenhorn said: "I look forward to growing the business and developing more innovative and compelling propositions for our customers."
