Marshall Construction has been awarded a contract by Hillcrest Housing Association (HA) to develop housing at a site in Dundee.
Hillcrest will deliver 32 affordable homes at the development on Sinclair Street.
The houses will be a mixture of one and two bedrooms properties.
The project aims to deliver the units by January next year.
David Zwirlein, Hillcrest Director of Development and New Business said: "The development is behind schedule due to our original contractor going out of business. We are pleased that following a tender process, we have negotiated a new contract with Marshall Construction so quickly which will allow us to start on site in early August.
"Minimising the inevitable delays in the process was a priority for us in order to continue with our planned development programme.
"We are committed to providing Dundee with good quality affordable housing and our latest development at Sinclair Street will do just that."
Robert Marshall, Marshall Construction Managing Director said: "We are delighted to have been appointed on this project and look forward to furthering our relationship with Hillcrest HA."
Hillcrest and their partners are currently on-site or have planning approval to develop 119 new homes across Dundee by late 2018.
Its aim is to provide 750 new properties throughout Scotland over the next 3 years.
