Angus Council has announced its flood protection work within the southern reaches of Edzell's Wishop Burn is progressing.
Works consist of the development of an upsized culvert, which will run under Dunlappie Road.
A timber flood wall will also be built to prevent increased flows impacting properties to the east of the burn.
The aim of the scheme at Dunlappie Road is to reduce flood risk in the area.
To manage flood risk to the upper parts of Edzell, the council has installed a water level gauge.
This will allow remote monitoring or water levels and will trigger automatic alarms at pre-set levels.
