SP Energy Networks is to begin installing new underground cables in Edinburgh.
Following an agreement with the city council, the company will start the cable project that will allow for the demolition and future development of the new St James Quarter.
SP Energy Networks will be working between Broughton Street to Forth Street from 4 July for a period of two weeks until 18 July.
The company has worked closely with the council to plan traffic management arrangements.
Mark Everett, SP Energy Networks Head of Delivery, said: "This is an important project to ensure that the Edinburgh St James regeneration project will have the required electricity connections in place."
