East Dunbartonshire Council has announced investigation work will be carried out at Burgh Hall car park next week.
The works are part of a project to redevelop the existing hall into a new modern community hub facility in Bearsden.
Some areas of the car park and public toilet will be closed from 7 July until 14 July to allow continuing investigations to take place.
The halls development will include re-provisioning the library and Community Archives from Brookwood as well as enhancing the current hall facilities via a full refurbishment.
The Community Hub will also contain new public meeting rooms and social work facilities, along with upgrading the current accommodation.
Councillor Alan Moir said: "This work is necessary for our contractors to carry out preparatory investigation work as part of the proposed Community Hub development and we are hopeful of minimising the disruption to people in Bearsden."
