Argyll and Bute Council has announced it will carry out further roadworks due to a manufacturing issue with recently laid tarmac.
Road teams will begin working on the bottom half of Argyll Street in Lochgilphead within the next fortnight.
The tarmac had been overheated during the manufacturing process, meaning it did not bind correctly after it cooled.
This led to the surface deteriorating once traffic was allowed to run on it.
Breedon, the supplier, has provided new material free of charge.
The work is expected to take approximately two days.
