Scottish Rents Increase From Previous Year

New tenants in Scotland are now paying 9.6% more rent than last year.

According to the recent HomeLet Rental Index, the average rent in Scotland for new tenancies in three months to May 2015 as £652 per month.

This figure increased 2.7% (£635) in the three months to April 2015.

The average rent in the three months to May 2014 was £595.

The Index reveals that rent prices in every region of the UK are rising, with the overall UK average rise being 10.7%.
