North Lanarkshire Council is holding a series of events for residents to help shape its new Local Housing Strategy (LHS).

The council is inviting the public to meet housing staff and discuss a range of topics, such as housing supply and support, property condition, energy efficiency, fuel poverty and elderly housing.

Elaine McHugh, Head of Housing Services, said: "Our Local Housing Strategy is fundamental in bringing all these areas together into one approach.

The events will be held in the council's First Stop Shop's.

The dates and times are as follows:

• Wishaw: 30 June 10am – 12pm.

• Shotts: 30 June, 2pm – 4pm.

• Bellshill: 1 July, 10am – 12pm.

• Viewpark: 1 July, 2pm – 4pm.

• Motherwell: 7 July, 10am – 12pm.

• Airdrie: 7 July, 2pm – 4pm.

• Cumbernauld: 8 July - 10am – 12pm.

• Coatbridge: 8 July - 2pm – 4pm.

• Kilsyth: 14 July - 10am – 12pm.

• Moodiesburn: 14 July - 2pm – 4pm.

The draft consultative LHS will be available for public consultation in October.
