A new steel factory has opened in Wishaw.
Miller Fabrications has invested over £700,000 in the new facility, supported by Scottish Enterprise through a Regional Selective Assistance grant up of to £140,000.
The new structural steel workshop, shot-blast and paint facility will increase the company's production of high quality steel fabrications for the rail and highway sectors in the UK.
The facility will also offer a complete in-house design, production and installation service.
The company carries out out all glass and timber work for its architectural fabrications in-house, as well as all glazing and cladding for large structural steel fabrications such as bridges, walkways, staircases, lift shafts and canopies.
Gary Gibb, Managing Director (MD) of Miller Fabrications said: "Investing in staff, facilities and machinery has been central to our ethos from the very beginning. The development of our production facilities will allow us to continue our growth ambitions in the rail and highways sectors, while consolidating our existing clients in the construction industry."
Rhona Allison, Company Growth Director, Scottish Enterprise, said: "I am delighted that Scottish Enterprise has been able to play a part in Miller Fabrications’ growth so far."
