The Scottish Government has awarded funding to the Argyll and Bute Council for a range of energy efficiency measures.
The scheme will be applied to households in Islay.
The Home Energy Efficiency Programme for Scotland: Area Based Scheme (HEEPS: ABS) contains a range of measures including internal and external wall insulation, loft insulation and underfloor insulation.
The proposals will be offered to private owners and private tenants living in council tax bands A, B, C and also to Band D properties who meet the eligibility criteria.
ALIenergy will deliver the scheme on behalf of the council.
A number of information events will be held throughout the year.
Councillor Robin Currie said: "Argyll and Bute Council is committed to tackling fuel poverty and the HEEPS: ABS programme is one of the ways in which we’re doing this.
"Since 2013, we have assisted over 700 properties and have helped make their homes more affordable and cheaper to heat."
