Public Invited To Consultation

Scottish Borders has announced a consultation will take place for a new 3G pitch in Peebles.

A public exhibition took place in February.

Proposals were drawn up to situate the new synthetic surface on a playing field at Craigerne Lane next to Peebles High School.

Three potential locations are now being considered, two of which are in the Craigerne Lane area and Victoria Park.

Councillor Vicky Davidson said: "We know how important it is to get a 3G pitch built in Peebles but we also realise it needs to be in the right location."

The public along with community and sports groups are encouraged to attend the consultation at Peebles High School's sports centre between 3pm – 7pm on 12 June.
