Car Parking To Expand In East Dunbarton

East Dunbarton Council has announced car park improvements will be undertaken in June and July.

The car parks will be upgraded as part of a programme to support the next phase of Decriminalised Parking Enforcement (DPE).

Works include increasing the Roman Road car parks spaces in Bearsden to 61, while capacity at the Woodburn Way car park in Milngavie will rise by 25%.

Ellengowan car park will also expand its provision by 44%.

The contractor is due to start on 15 June and works will last for approximately a fortnight.

Councillor Alan Moir said: "I am pleased that improvement works are being carried out at the Roman Road, Woodburn Way and Ellengowan car parks - increasing the spaces available by between 13 and 44 per cent."
