Proposals are to be displayed at a public exhibition for a potential street improvement in Kirkwall.
The design team appointed by Orkney Council will showcase its plans for the Broad Street area.
The council has succeeded in attracting £1.5 million in funding commitments from Sustrans and the Kirkwall Townscape Heritage Initiative.
The funds could be used to undertake the improvement works.
Gavin Barr, the Council's Executive Director of Development and Infrastructure said: "The exhibition provides people with an opportunity to view and comment on a range of outline proposals prepared by the team for the Broad Street area."
The Development and Infrastructure Committee will meet on 26 June to consider the designs and public response.
The plans will be on display at the Kirkwall Town Hall and Community Centre on 6 June until 13 June.
The design team will discuss the proposals between 1pm - 6pm on the exhibitions opening day.
