The Highland Council has announced there is still time for the public to comment on the Flood Risk Strategy plans for Scotland.
Information is available on the Scottish Environment Protection Agency's (SEPA) website, including how flooding should be managed, coordinated, funded and delivered, along with the consultation questions.
The flood risk management will be carried out between 2016 and 2021.
Strategies include prohibiting development on potential flood sites.
Other information available to view and provide comment on includes:
• A summary of the main sources and impacts of flooding on the Local Plan District
• Local Flood Risk Management objectives and proposed actions to meet those objectives
• Information on the draft Local Flood Risk Management Plan
Paper copies are available from the Highland Council headquarters in Inverness as well as the Argyll and Bute Council headquarters.
