Contractors Sign Agreement For Schools Framework

A ceremony has taken place to mark the appointment of three suppliers to the Schools & Centres 21 Phase 2 Framework.

Directors from Kier Construction Scotland, Morgan Sindall and Morrison Construction signed the four year agreement along with North Lanarkshire Council representatives.

Councillors have approved four primary projects to be delivered under the deal:


• A Coatbridge South primary schools shared campus at Paddock Street, involving St Stephen's PS and an amalgamated Carnbroe PS & Sikeside PS.

• A new school to replace St Dominic's Primary School, Airdrie.

• A new build primary schools shared campus for St Edward's PS and Tollbrae PS, Airdrie.

• A new primary school in Airdrie for an amalgamated Dunrobin PS and Petersburn PS.

Council Leader Jim McCabe said: "This ceremony marks yet another important milestone in our drive to improve school and community facilities throughout North Lanarkshire. I look forward to the new facilities opening and seeing the benefits they will bring to so many of our residents."
