Council Announces M74 Weekend Closures

South Lanarkshire Council has announced the closure of the M74 northbound on-slip.

The lane at Junction 5 Raith will be closed from 8pm tonight 22 May until 6am on 25 May.

The closure is part of Transport Scotland's £500 million M8 M73 M74 Motorway Improvements Project for the Raith junction.

The work is being carried out by Scotland Transerv.

A diversion will in place following the A725 northbound to Shawhead, A8 westbound to Baillieston Junction 8, M73 southbound and returning to M74 northbound Maryville, Junction 4.
