Consultation Underway Over Proposed Improvements

A consultation is underway over proposals to improve an area of a town in Clackmannanshire.

The consultation is set up to gather community feedback on plans for the Tron Court area in Tullibody.

Current proposals include:

• External refurbishment of buildings in Blocks A and B.

• New glass canopies over shops.

• Removal of plant beds.

• Upgrading footpaths leading to Tron Court shopping precinct.

• Upgrading of lighting to the shopping precinct, existing car park and lane.

• Installation of pedestrian crossing at north side of Main Street near the Inn.

• Installation of 'table top' surfacing to aid pedestrians, wheelchair & motability scooters.

• Removal of lock up garages & other car park alterations to provide additional parking spaces along with more on street parking.

• New drainage provision and street landscaping within Tron Court shopping precinct.

The plans are part of the council's Making Clackmannanshire Better Programme.

Work is estimated to start in August 2015.

Council Leader Les Sharp said: "I am delighted that the community now has the opportunity to see and make comments on the detailed proposals and plans for the improvements to the Tron Court area."
