Falkirk Council has secured £1.5 million in government funding to help heat over 200 households.
The Scottish Government's Home Energy Efficiency Programme for Scotland (HEEPS) has provided the funds.
The HEEPS funding will be used to improve energy efficiency in households.
Area Based Schemes will install over 200 energy efficient measures in privately occupied/rented homes across the Falkirk area consisting of mainly wall insulation.
Jennifer Litts, Head of Housing Services, said: "The properties will be specifically targeted and we hope that they are able to enjoy the money that can be saved by the introduction of these measures.
"We can signpost households to all sorts of energy related advice and would urge households to get in touch and discuss potential ways that they can save money."
