East Dunbartonshire Council has asked a community for their views on a new purpose-built nursery for the area.
Auchinairn residents have been sent details of the council's proposals as part of a consultation running between 11 May to 25 June.
Plans include to establish a new nursery facility on the Woodhill primary site early in 2017.
The council will also provide separate early learning and childcare on the Auchinairn Primary School site, to be combined with a new community facility and family centre.
Council leader Rhondda Geekie said: "The new nursery together with a new community centre could combine early learning and childcare with health, parenting support, employability advice, community and social activities, providing a joined-up approach to services and bringing the community together."
