Graham Construction has been awarded a £7 million contract by the Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT).
The deal involves developing the modernisation of Goven Subway and bus station.
The Interchange development is part of Graham's ongoing £288 million Subway Modernisation programme.
Glass covered walkways will be installed connecting to the adjacent bus station and new passenger lifts on each circle between concourse and platform level.
A modern entrance with glazed bi-parting doors will be installed on Golspie Street along with perimeter fencing and CCTV.
Further improvements include a modern ticket office, new flooring, wall/ceiling finishes, signage and enhancements including hearing loops, tactile maps and tactile paving along with colour contrast flooring.
The refurbishment is due to be completed by the end of 2016.
