Drum Property Group has announced proposals to build a 210 bedroom hotel in Aberdeen city centre.

Plans for the new 90,000 sq ft complex have been submitted to the city council with the development aiming to begin before the end of 2015.

The hotel plans are part of Drum's 'The Grande' development, a 120,000 sq ft office complex for oil and gas company EnQuest.

Graeme Bone, Group Managing Director at Drum, said: "The new hotel will play a key role in the ongoing physical regeneration and services provision in the North Dee area, which was recently identified as the main office district in the new Aberdeen City Centre Masterplan."
