The public has been invited to attend a drop-in event at Kirkwall Town Hall to voice their views on the £1.3 million upgrades to the Broad Street Area.
The event will give people the chance to discuss their views, ideas and suggestions before design plans are created.
Urban designers Gillespies and transport engineers WSP have been appointed to develop the plans.
The project areas cover Broad Street, Palace Road and Castle Street.
Gavin Barr, the Council's Executive Director for Development and Infrastructure, said: "The design team is fully briefed on all the comments we’ve received so far from previous consultations on possible improvements and enhancements to Broad Street area."
The event will take place on 25 April.
