Robertson Partnership Homes (RPH) has submitted plans to Fife Council to build 101 new homes in Methil.
Construction work is due to begin this summer on the 5.6 hectare site at the former Glencast Foundry in Methil Brae.
Plans include a mixture of one bedroom cottage flats, as well as two, three, four and five-bedroom bungalows.
Stewart Shearer, Director of RPH, said the plans would contribute to Fife Council's commitment to deliver 2700 new homes by 2017.
He said: "We believe we have submitted a plan to deliver much-needed housing and attractive public spaces, which will create a new community in Methil".
