Barr Construction has been awarded a contract to build a £5 million expansion at BrewDog’s headquarters in Ellon.
The 4,500 square foot expansion will add a 300 hectolitre (HL) brew-house, as well as the installation of 20 brew tanks and the development of a three story office facility.
Robbie Clark, Head of Business Development for Barr Construction, said: "We are extremely pleased to have been awarded the contract with BrewDog to expand their current premises in Ellon and are looking forward to getting on site."
Work is due to start on the brew-house later this month.
The deal is the last to be undertaken by Barr Construction before its rebranding as McLaughlin & Harvey, following a merger with the Northern Irish firm last year.
BrewDog founder, James Watt, said: "The next 12 months are going to be a whirlwind of intense and exciting growth for BrewDog, and we’re looking forward to working with Barr Construction on the much needed expansion of our site."
