Construction work has started on the new £15m Eastwood Health and Care Centre in East Renfrewshire.
The state-of-the-art facility will serve the Eastwood area and will include GP practices, district nursing, health visitors, podiatry services, physiotherapy, social work and mental health services.
A community enterprise, in the form of a café, will also be established at the centre as an employability project, the local authority has said.
The building is located on the site of the former Isobel Mair School in Clarkston, with Hub West Scotland responsible for the design and construction of the centre. It is expected to be completed in the spring of 2016.
Councillor Jim Fletcher, Leader of East Renfrewshire Council, said: "The new Eastwood Health and Care Centre is the culmination of a huge amount of partnership work between East Renfrewshire Council, NHS, hub West Scotland and Scottish Futures Trust.
"Its construction will enable us to serve the whole of the Eastwood area in a modern 'fit for purpose' building. It means for the first time we will be able to house a number of services under one roof to give us a holistic approach to delivering health and social care to patients."
