A former high school in Eyemouth is to be demolished, it has been announced.
Work to demolish the former Eyemouth High School, located in the Scottish Borders, will commence later this month and are expected to last until the end of June.
Dalton Demolition will be responsible for the project.
While the works are underway, Eyemouth Primary School will be secured from the demolition site, with measures being put in place to ensure the safety of pupils, staff and the public throughout the works.
In addition to the razing of the high school building, internal works will be carried out at the primary school, creating a new area for Early Years provision.
To enable this work to go ahead, the existing Early Years building will close, with the nursery, Sunflower Room and breakfast club relocating to the main school building. The improvements will begin next month with the new facilities opening in May.
