Barr Construction has confirmed its next series of free business seminars are to take place later this week.
The Paisley-based firm, which is behind the current redevelopment of Glasgow's historic Kelvin Hall, is offering SMEs and SEs the chance to learn industry secrets at a series of specialist seminars. It is encouraging businesses from Glasgow, who are wanting to save money and implement best practice within their companies, to sign up to one of the free events.
The next event will be held on Friday 6 February at Kelvin Hall, and will cover health and safety to help Glasgow's construction and environmental companies identify, manage and control risks.
Paul Griffin, construction director from Barr Construction, commented: "Kelvin Hall is such an important building to Glasgow's community and as a local construction firm we wanted to work closely with the community and the local businesses.
"Working with our sub-contractors, we will be offering Glasgow's businesses the opportunity to hear not only from our own experts but from industry specialists in marketing, digital media and HR, making them great for a variety of business.
"We are looking forward to our first health and safety seminar this Friday and would encourage anyone interested to sign up quickly, with just a few spaces remaining. The session will cover pre-planning and procurement as well as the learning outcomes from London 2012 and Glasgow 2014."
The free event will commence at Kelvin Hall at 10am. To book a place, or to view the list of events being organised by Barr Construction, contact Zoe Lumsden at Barr Holdings Ltd on 0141 848 8000 or email Zoe.Lumsden@barr.co.uk.
Barr Construction will continue to host seminars throughout the year, providing business leaders from all sectors with the opportunity to hear from marketing, HR and construction specialists who will explore topics such as carbon footprinting, performance management and how to make the most of the media.
