The final stage of a consultation process for a proposed campus in Largs, North Ayrshire, is to commence next week.
The Consultation Report, which includes the findings from the public consultation, has since been published on the council's website, alongside an assessment by Education Scotland of the educational impact of the proposal.
The next stage of the process is now for the local authority to decide whether it should proceed with the plans, and if approved, the Scottish Government will have eight weeks to make a final decision.
The plans involve the development of a new two to 18 years campus, located on the Inverclyde Sports Centre. It would comprise of the relocation of Largs Academy, a new primary school – arising from the proposed amalgamation of Brisbane Primary School and Kelburn Primary School, the relocation of St Mary's Primary School and a new early years' centre.
North Ayrshire Council has said the plans are for the various institutions to be contained within one campus building, housing separate establishments, with certain shared facilities.
