Superglass Insulation has welcomed a visit by the Minister for Business, Energy and Tourism, Fergus Ewing.
The firm, which has its headquarters in Stirling, also welcomed Bruce Crawford, MSP for Stirling, as well as other policy advisers, to their facility last week (23 January).
During his visit, Minister Ewing noted the extensive investment which has been made on the plant to date, with new capabilities being developed within the business and the market prospects for Superglass going forward.
In addition, the number of lofts and cavities still requiring insulation in the UK was also discussed, alongside a need for effective Government subsidies and initiatives that recognise efficient insulation solutions as an investment rather than a cost.
Ken Munro, Managing Director, Superglass, commented: "Joined up thinking with regard to energy policy and the implementation of effective energy efficiency initiatives will be critical to the future success of Superglass and will complement the progress already made in repositioning the business to take advantage of growing commercial opportunities."
