North Ayrshire Council is to hold a number of consultation events in relation to a proposed scheme to tackle flooding in the Upper Garnock Valley area.
The events, which will take place later this month, will allow the local community to view plans for the £14.5m investment along the River Garnock. People will also be able to provide feedback on the designs.
The drop-in events will take place on:
• Wednesday 21 January at Radio City, Kilbirnie, from 11am to 9pm
• Thursday 22 January at Radio City, Kilbirnie, from 10am until 7pm
• Monday 26 January at the public library in Dalry, from 11am until 9pm
• Tuesday 27 January at the public library in Dalry, from 10am until 7pm.
Councillor Tony Gurney commented: "This has been a major undertaking for North Ayrshire Council and every possible option has been considered. We are really looking forward to meeting with the public and discussing these plans. All feedback is welcome and will be taken into consideration when finalising our proposals."
