Maxwell Bruce To Fill 1,400 Jobs

Maxwell Bruce has said it is to fill at least 1,400 construction jobs throughout 2015.

The Scottish recruitment agency, which specialises in engineering as well as construction, added that the positions will vary from general operatives, to middle and senior management.

The firm's announcement follows recent figures by the Office for National Statistics (ONS), which showed unemployment in Scotland falling by 24,000 in the last year alone. The unemployment rate is now at its lowest level in five years.

Roddy Donaldson, Managing Director at Maxwell Bruce, commented: "The construction industry in Scotland and the UK is really beginning to grow again following the recession, and this will offer a great range of job opportunities throughout the year. We're looking forward to meeting prospective candidates and finding the right people for the right jobs.

"There's a wealth of talent out there, so I'm sure we'll secure the best for all of our clients. I'd even encourage people who perhaps have limited or no experience in construction, but who wish to get back into the industry or enter it for the first time, to take a look at the roles available. There could be a great opportunity to begin – or restart – a rewarding career."
