A series of improvement works have been proposed for two cemeteries in Dundee.
Councillors will be asked to approve the work at a meeting next week.
The upgrade works have been suggested for Balgay Cemetery and Eastern Cemetery in the city.
If approved, more than £48,000 will be invested in the project, which will involve:
• The restoration of steps to improve safety within Balgay cemetery
• Improvements to drainage channels to reduce erosion of footpaths and headstones at Balgay cemetery
• Improvement works to drainage gullies at both cemeteries.
Councillor Vari McDonald, Depute Environment Convener, commented: "This work is needed to ensure our cemeteries remain up to standard. Both Balgay and Eastern are important and popular open spaces that must be maintained. I am sure these proposals will be widely welcomed."
