Kirk ThermalWall's insulation-backed natural stone facing system, as well as its uninsulated horizontal rail fixed product, have achieved CWCT's Standard for Systemised Building Envelopes.
The testing was undertaken by Vinci Technology and the results will help give architects, designers and contractors the confidence to specify and use Kirk ThermalWall for a variety of building facade types.
The Kirk ThermalWall building system is highly sustainable and has a long service life and low maintenance requirements. It is also easy to install, and when retrofitted, helps to upgrade the energy performance and appearance of run-down, but structurally sound, buildings to higher standards; and for less cost than demolishing and rebuilding.
Commenting on the achievement, Dr Martin Kirk, Kirk ThermalWall Managing Director, said: "Achieving CWCT test standards will give a tremendous boost to the marketability of Kirk ThermalWall, and help the company to secure important contracts going forwards."
