A number of businesses in Helensburgh, Argyll and Bute, are set to benefit from a scheme to improve shopfronts in the area.
A total of £70,000 has been awarded by the Helensburgh and Lomond Area Committee to 12 local businesses to enhance the appearance of their shopfront.
In a statement, Argyll and Bute Council said the project is being funded through its £140,000 Section 75 agreement with Drum Development, who developed the Waitrose site. The remaining £70,000 will then be held over for a second phase of shopfront improvements, once this phase is completed.
It is understood 12 of the 21 applicants met the selection criteria, while one had already carried out improvement work and the other eight needed to submit further paperwork before their awards can be finalised, depending on planning permission.
The local authority has said successful applicants need to have the work completed and the funds drawn down by March 2016.
